The last few years has been a difficult time for the Finnish economy. Financial crisis has been an extra spice in the structural reorganizing that has struck our traditional sectors. The Kymi region has been hit especially hard due to strong presence of forest industry. Last Friday’s Nokia news have been met with mixed feelings. There are many more questions than answers in the open. Whatever is coming up in the foreseeable future, we need to support entrepreneurship and strenghten the Finnish SME sector. Some good examples of innovative, growth-oriented an born-global companies already exist. We have to work together to see many more.
